Happy Single's Awareness Day (aka Valentine's Day)
In case we didn't already realize we are single, every year February brings us a day to remind us - yep, we're still alone. All around us we're bombarded with red and pink, hearts and chocolate, hugs and kisses. I think this is one of my least favorite days of the year. Not that I'm bitter; it's just hard to have such a prominent reminder of my singleness, especially as I get older. I know, for everything there is a season, and all things in God's timing. I know all those things, but it doesn't help to ease the longing. I mean, gees, I don't even have a DOG to send my Valentine's greeting out to (that comment is for you, Amy)! =)
Anyway, for those of you who are blessed enough to have a significant other, Happy Valentine's Day - I hope it's special and you remember how blessed you are.
For those of you who, like me, haven't made it there yet, Happy Single's Awareness Day. I hope it's a special day for you too.

Actually, here there are a lot of *football widows* tonight... Aberdeen Football Club is playing Bayern Munich here at Pittodrie-- quite a big UEFA match, if you follow (or are even vaguely aware) of things. We're actually leading, 2 to 1, at almost halftime, which is good. I thought it was quite funny, the timing of such a huge match.
I love you, my friend! And I don't need a special day to say that. =)
