Pain in the Abs
After a shopping trip to Kohl's earlier this week, I made the decision that every night when I put on my pajamas, the first thing I am going to do is 50 sit-ups. That's right, FIFTY! Well, the first night it was hard to do, but I got through without too much pain... that night, anyway. The next day - oh my goodness!!! It hurt to do much of anything! I admit, I failed in my resolution on the second night, because it hurt too much. And singing in choir on Wednesday was painful, because breathing properly uses those muscles. Gotta get them in shape. Anyway, I have been good since then, making it through the 50 sit-ups each night without fail. I force myself to do them by giving myself incentives. Wednesday night I couldn't eat dinner til after I finished them. Last night I couldn't open my new computer until after the sit-ups. I'm getting better, making it through with less stopping, but I must say, I still have pain in my abs. More of a dull ache than the pain of Tuesday, but pain nonetheless. Hopefully I'll remain faithful to this resolution and see some results soon. I NEED to see some results.
Oh, and a big thank-you to Genny who decided to make this commitment with me and is enduring the same pain in the abs. It's nice to have accountability - I think it makes it easier.

On an unrelated note, Kenny said to tell you hi. He was asking how you were; we all miss you, me and the three boys. ;)
