Snow, Snow, Snow!

It didn't stop snowing until sometime in the middle of the night - it snowed for more than 24 hours straight, and a heavy snow at that. I woke this morning to a winter wonderland. Several more inches of snow had fallen overnight, setting a record with 12.5" at DFW airport. It was so pristine and gorgeous outside, though the tree in the courtyard suffered the loss of a branch due to the heavy weight of the snow. I braved the cold to take a walk around my apartment complex, and of course, take pictures.

I thought about going swimming, but alas, the pool was closed. ;)

I don't know when I will see snow like this again. I certainly never expected to see it in Texas! Over a foot of snow in 24 hours. What an amazing day!
