Sunday afternoon at the lake

On Sunday after church Dave and Dana invited a group of us to hang out at Benbrook Lake with them. It ended up being a small group - Dave, Dana, me, Norman, Alan, and Melanie. We spent all afternoon by the water, chilling in the shade or sitting with our feet in the water, walking around the shore, watching the jetskis and boats, chatting, having a picnic dinner of Chicken Express (complete with sweet tea!), flying the kite, and watching a lovely sunset. It was surprisingly not too hot, with a lovely breeze coming off the lake, and we all appreciated the time to just relax and fellowship. I enjoyed spending time with new friends and others that I rarely see. Definitely a perfect way to spend a lazy summer Sunday afternoon.
