Promise U - Dress Rehearsal

Today was dress rehearsal for the big children's choir musical, "Promise U." Let me just tell you - it was CHAOS! Between people questioning whether we were going to cancel due to the swine flu, to a tornado watch that landed 60 children and 10+ adults in the hallway for over 15 minutes, to one of the tech members not showing up and throwing off the whole sound crew, it was a day of frustration and stress. The cast did a great job with their parts, but the choir was just not quite with it. Music and choreography that was sharp two weeks ago was now muddled and off-pitch. I know they say that a bad dress rehearsal = a good performance. And I know that's been the case in previous years with WILD Worship. They always seem to pull it together during the actual performance. Well, if that holds true, then tomorrow's presentation of "Promise U" will be fabulous. I pray that is the case. Satan is trying REALLY hard to keep this presentation from happening, causing distractions, conflict, and anything else he can do to cause problems. That means he must really not want this message of God's unfailing promises to be shared. If you think about it, please pray for us as we go through final preparations tomorrow afternoon and then present "Promise U" tomorrow night for Wedgwood's evening service. The kids (and leaders) have worked extremely hard and long for this presentation, and we pray that our efforts bring glory and honor to the only one who is worthy to be praised -- our Promise Keeper.
We passed out glowsticks in case the power went out.

It was a REALLY strong storm!
