4th of July 2018

I love the 4th of July in Peachtree City, Georgia! It's so fun to experience a small-town celebration (although PTC isn't so small anymore, they've continued a lot of the holiday traditions). We got up early that morning and got ready to head out to the parade, on the golf cart, of course.
Check out these fun shades!
Brodie got to go along too, of course
The parade was fun, with some different elements this year, like the T-Rex, the flyover, and old Trump. We gathered candy, flags, and beads as the different floats drove by, then packed back into the golf cart for the 45-minute ride back home.

After some pool fun during the day and a tasty burger lunch, we got ready to head back to town for the fireworks. As Dad was packing the cooler, he came across this very timely can of Coke.
Yes, we noticed the irony of his shirt.
We had to pick Ben up from his job at the lemonade stand at the party at the PTC library, so we set our spot for the fireworks and then headed up to enjoy some of the festivities. It was HOT! We finally settled in our seats with a snack to tide us over until the fireworks started. And they were AMAZING! They were literally right over our heads, huge, and loud, and so cool! I loved it. What a fabulous day celebrating America's birthday!
